The replacement voltage regulator, a 100% German product, can be connected directly to the alternator connector, but compared to the original regulator, the battery is fed directly with the regulated voltage.

The round mating connector of the original wiring harness where the voltage regulator is originally connected remains unused and should be stripped.

The advantage of this chosen measure with regard to the differentiated cabling is to bypass the possibly damaged cables of the original wiring harness, behind the round plug, and to lead the regulated voltage directly to the battery.

Regular checking of the connector to the alternator is important for the longevity of the regulator. This should always ensure 100% contact between the yellow lines.

To be sure that the system works properly, the voltage on the battery can be measured.
